Dynamic Sealing Technologies recently shipped the latest in a series of custom rotating unions for the steel industry. The end user for these assemblies is a major producer of steel in eastern Europe. The units pictured were custom designed to fit the existing machinery; replacing the original OEM rotary union assemblies. They are used to supply hydraulic oil and grease to a coiler mandrel. The design consists of a large 3-passage rotary union for hydraulic oil transfer and a smaller 2-passage rotary union for grease transfer. The total assembly is over 27" tall and weighs over 450 lbs.
