Dynamic Sealing Technologies recently provided a custom rotary union - electrical slip ring assembly that required the slip ring to carry Class 1, Group C explosion-proof certification for use in a hazardous location. The assembly was used to supply air and electrical to a custom aerosol can filling machine. The rotary union was designed with all stainless steel construction for use in a washdown environment. DSTI provides custom rotary union assemblies to several OEM's for use on their filling and packaging equipment.
