Late in 2004, DSTI was awarded the contract to manufacture a large custom rotary union for a very unique application. The custom rotary union will be used to transfer water & hydraulic fluid to a rotating stage. The stage is a part of the Franco Dragone production titled "Le Reve" that is the featured show at the new Wynns Resort in Las Vegas. The rotary union needed to be as short as possible, so a unique 2-union assembly was created. The outer union is used to transfer (4) independent 2.0" passages of water to the rotating stage. The inner union is used to transfer (2) high pressure hydraulic oil lines to the stage. the entire union assembly is designed to operate under water as required for this aquatic show.
